The Biotechnology & Bioinformatics area at NIIT University (NU) is organizing its second National-level Symposium "BiOmics" on April 11, 2020.
This time, the main theme of the symposium is based on the core principles of NU i.e., Industry-linkage & Research-driven, where we look towards establishing a bridge between academia and industry.
The aim of the symposium is to provide a platform for researchers, academics as well as industry professionals across the country to present and share their research in different facets of recent advances throughout the different areas of omics. The scientific programme includes keynote address, invited lectures and oral/poster sessions on the theme of symposium.

The Biotechnology programme at NU is driven by the development of theoretical knowledge base as well as the business needs of the Biotechnology sector. It comprises a flexible model where the course content continuously evolves with the rapid changes occurring in the Biotechnology industry. The NU offers B.Tech, Int. M.Tech and Ph.D programmes in the area of Biotechnology.
The Biotechnology Area at NU, currently has faculty members with expertise in the areas of Immunology, Microbiology, Biological Chemistry, Nanotechnology, Analytical Techniques, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics and are engaged in the interdisciplinary research.
