Dr. Sudeep Goswami joined NU in 2019 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. Earlier, he served for two years as Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at PDM University, Haryana. He supervised one master's dissertation. He has 1.5 years of postdoctoral research experience from University of Manitoba, Canada where he worked on novel antimicrobial drug discovery. He studied their mode of action, biocompatibility and evaluated its efficacy on drug resistant pathogenic bacterial strains as well as bacterial biofilms through in vitro and in vivo infection models. He did his Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati on Antibacterial activity, potential therapeutic applications of pyridine-based synthetic amphiphiles and their effective delivery through biocompatible Nano carriers.
He has hands on experience in various instrumental and analytical techniques. He published 3 first author and 11 collaborative research papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He has attended faculty induction program 2017, conducted by MHRD. As a faculty, he incorporates ICT tools and research articles in his pedagogy for crafting better teaching learning environment. He tries to motivate students to be creative and determined.
