NU Fest – IngeNUity

On 1st February 2013, the escapade began with the opening ceremony of NIIT University’s first ever annual techno-cultural fest, IngeNUity marking the beginning of what will remain a legacy for the years to follow. The fest was a day and night event being held from 1st February 2013 to 3rd February 2013. Seeing the participation of over three hundred students coming from across 25 different colleges of Delhi and NCR like NSIT, LNMIIT, BITS Pilani, SRM Ghaziabad, Symbiosis, Noida, IP University, Amity University, Pearl Academy and Delhi University, the fest was a huge accomplishment for the organizers and all the students of NU.

Tasking up to the originative theme of “The Escapade Begins”, IngeNUity was built in a unique way to challenge the very adeptness a person possesses while ensuing ample time for fun and recreation. Kicking-off with the splendid cultural performances at the Opening Ceremony and the Treasure Hunt that followed, the mood was set in tune to the enthusiastic participants competing in various events like street play, group dance events, technical competitions, parliamentary style debating, quizzing, photography competition and gaming. As the crowd got ready for Enchanteur – Fashion Show, a magical moment was created with the rise of the sky lanterns in the sky, lit by the students. The DJ Night set them grooving and transported all to a journey of diverse tunes. IngeNUity was also host to a performance by the very famous Stand-Up Comedian VIP who left everyone roaring with laughter with his humor tricks. Paint Ball and Blood Donation Camp organized by Red Cross saw huge participation as well but the real highlight of the fest was the live concert by Them Clones. The whole crowd was head-banging, jumping and shouting, cherishing every moment as the band performed and judged the Battle of The Bands that followed.

The fest ended at a joyous note with the organizers sharing with one and all their experiences of organizing the fest and realizing the dream of many students like them to be a part of the first fest of NIIT University.
