All registered regular full time students would be provided scholarship of up-to Rs 30, 000 per month. They shall be required to assist half time in the teaching/research activities. In lieu of the services, NU shall not charge any university fee (computed at Rs 4, 40,000 / annum) from the residential Ph.D scholars.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The numbers of NU scholarships available under this programme are limited and are awarded on first come first serve basis.
Failure to remit the applicable fees will lead to termination/suspension of the student from the rolls of the university.
The grant of NU scholarship will be at the sole discretion of the University and no disputes will be entertained.
The University may alter or discontinue the NU Scholar Search Programme at its sole discretion.
Type of Scholarship
Fees should be deposited only through digital transfer mode, No Cash will be accepted against Fees deposition. This is as per the UGC D.O. No. F. 1 -1l201 7(Secy) dated: 6th June, 2017.
In addition to the above, one time refundable interest-free security deposit of INR 25,000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only) is payable at the time of enrollment in addition to the above mentioned fees. The acceptance fee would be adjusted against the refundable interest-free security deposit of INR 25,000.
Residential scholars are exempted from the University fees and are paid a scholarship of INR 25,000 per month.
Mess charges are payable at actuals (currently estimated at approximately INR 4,200 per month) payable in advance for the semester for the residential programmes and on actuals for the non-residential programmes.
Hostel Fee would not be applicable for non-residential doctorate programmes.

Refund of Interest-Free Security Deposit
The security deposit amount will be refunded to the student on completion of the Programme, subject to any deductions on account of any books not returned to the library or any damages caused to the equipment and infrastructure of the University, etc.
Refund of Fee
Any amount paid will be refunded subject to a deduction of acceptance cum admission processing fee towards processing charges. Students can request for a refund only before the commencement of the programme. Procedure to request a refund
Send a written application stating the reason for refund.
The application should be duly signed by both the student and a parent and should include an identity proof of the applicant, admission offer letter and payment receipt.
