Step 1:The hard copy of Application Form can be obtained from any of the designated Admissions Offices of NU
Please download the Application Form by clicking https://nucleus.niituniversity.in/applicant/login.aspx and pay the Application Fee by Cheque/ Demand Draft, drawn in favor of NIIT University, payable at Delhi/Gurugram.

Step 2: Submit the duly completed admission application form along with all the required documents, using ANY of the following modes:

  • Online at our website: www.niituniversity.in. Attach scanned copies of all the required documents as specified in the application form.
  • Courier the printed copy of the form by post to the NU Central Admissions Office at NIIT House, 85, Sector 32, Institutional Area, Gurugram, Haryana – 122001.
  • E- Mail a scanned copy to admissions@niituniversity.in along with the scanned copies of all the documents required.
  • Submit a printed copy of the form in person to a duly authorized representative, details of which are available on our website.


  • Those Applicants who have the Class XII score of either 2018 or 2019 should also submit a self-attested mark sheet of Class XII. If forms are submitted online, a scanned copy of all the required documents should also be attached.
  • Candidates who have applied before March 31, 2020, have to submit a self-attested copy of the admit card of the Class XII board examination with the reference of their application number.

Step 3: Schedule the NU-AIP online by selecting the NU-AIP location closest to you and the time slot most convenient for you. In case you need assistance to schedule the NU-AIP, the relevant admissions office can be contacted.

  1. The eligible Applicants undergo the NU-AIP (Admission Interaction Process) either face-to-face or through video conferencing on the day and time selected by them.
  2. The following is assessed during the NU-AIP
    1. Aptitude & Analytical ability
    2. English communication skills – written & oral
    3. Interest & hobbies
    4. Degree of self-awareness
    5. Out-of-the-box thinking
    6. Reasons for the choice of stream
  3. Applicants' parents/guardian are invited for an interaction with the NU team. The interactions can be either face-to-face or through video conferencing. The parent/guardian interaction is typically scheduled on the same day as the NU-AIP. Parents/guardian interaction is mandatory before offer of Admission of NU.
  4. The steps involved in the NU-AIP are mentioned below.

For Technology Programmes (BTech, iMTech, iMSc)

  1. Questionnaire
  2. NUAT (NU Aptitude Test) / Valid National/ State Level Entrance Test
  3. Interaction with Faculty Advisor & Admissions Advisor
  4. Student Personal Interaction (SPI) & Parents Personal Interaction (PPI) with NU NU-AIP Panel

Note: For those Applicants having valid JEE Main/BITSAT/SAT/NEET/Any State Engineering Entrance Examination Rank/Score, the NU Aptitude Test (NUAT) is optional

Step 4: On receipt of The Offer for Admission, Selected candidates should submit the Acceptance Letter duly signed by them and their parent/guardian within 5 working days of receiving the Admission Offer letter along with a non-refundable acceptance fee as follows:

  1. INR 15,000 under EAD
  2. INR 15,000 under RAD (Note: due to special circumstances in 2020, this year, the Non-refundable Acceptance fee for RAD applicants has been reduced from INR 25,000 to INR 15,000.)

Step 5: Final Admission Offer is made via email on a designated date to all the candidates who have accepted the NU offer of admission and paid the Acceptance amount.

Step 6: Due to special circumstances in 2020, this year those applicants who have accepted the provisional offer, will enroll into the Programme as follows:

All Applicants will pay the balance applicable fee as per the preferred payment plan i.e. Semester/Annual along with refundable interest-free security deposit by a designated date intimated individually The fee can be paid through electronic transfer (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking), or by demand draft in favor of NIIT University, payable at Gurugram. From here their status changes from a ‘Applicant’ to a ‘Candidate’ of NU. The last date for acceptance of this offer along with payment of the Full applicable Fee for Regular Enrolment is July 31, 2020 and accordingly such students will register for the programme and start with the HSBC & Resonance Induction programme commencing on August 17, 2020.

Given the special circumstances this year, the incoming students have been given an option for acceptance of this offer with Early Enrolment and Early Registration with the following special benefits:

a) Special Intensive Boot Camp on Digital Technology Skills: On special recommendation of the Admission Committee, this year, all Early Enrolment & Registration students, irrespective of the formal programme that they have enrolled for, will get to attend an Intensive Boot Camp on Digital Technology Skills to prepare them better for the Future Study & Work Environment. This Boot Camp is being designed in conjunction with the Industry and will commence on August 10, 2020 i.e. one week prior to the HSBC & Resonance Induction Programme .It will be over and above the formal curriculum of NU. The Early Enrolment and Registration students will attend this with Full Fee Waiver for the Boot Camp.

b) Fee waiver on Minor Programme: The Early Enrolment & Registration students will get a 50% Fee waiver in any one Minor Program of their choice.

c) Financial Ease for the Enrolment Fee: The Early Enrolment & Registration students will be able to secure their seat in the NU Programme selected for by paying Enrolment Fee in two instalments:

a. Part Enrolment Fee of Rs 1,00,000 (Rs One Lac only) payable along with the acceptance form duly filled in by July 11, 2020

b. Balance Enrolment Fee as per details given in Annexure 1 below will be payable on or before August 04, 2020

Note: The students are required to complete their Enrolment Formalities by completing the requirements as detailed in the Final Admission Offer Letter including payment of the requisite Fee by Due Dates depending on the chosen option, else the Admission Offer will stand withdrawn automatically.

a. Early Enrolment: First Instalment: July 11, 2020 and Second Instalment: August 04, 2020

b. Regular Enrolment: July 31, 2020 (full applicable fee)

Step 7: Due to special circumstances this year, all enrolled Students will register for the programme through a staggered schedule to be intimated individually. On registration, the student will join the University campus on 17th Aug, 2020 and attend the combined “Head Start Boot Camp” (HSBC) and RESONANCE Programmes after completing the registration formalities including verification of original mark-sheets of class X & Class XII (as available).

Due to special circumstances in 2020, including postponement of class XII examinations and consequently the delay in declaration in results, the candidates are permitted to enroll into the NU Programme and register for the first Semester with the understanding that the candidate will submit documentary evidence of successful completion of Class XII (by October 2020) within 15 days from the date of declaration of her/ his class XII results.
