The 2-Year, 74-Credit Program consists of 4 semesters. The courses are categorized into University Core (to inculcate NU’s core principles), Professional Core (to gain proficiency in ET), Electives (for specialization), R&D Project (to inculcate a strong research bent of mind) and Internship/Thesis (to provide Industry linkages or Industry-oriented research)
The program is designed to serve professional development at the work-place and, hence, is characterized by the pedagogic innovation of Education-Work Linkage aiming at integrating instruction components with business objectives leading to work-based instruction components. The work-based instruction components are: professional involvement (PI), tutorial, practical, home projects, assignments, R&D projects and Internship. The new pedagogy is based on the insight that the workplace while being a place to do business-related work is also a learning environment where education can happen. Specifically, the business work of the student (includes long term business projects) is divided to spread over the student’s work-based instruction components under courses implemented over 2 years.
