It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the NIIT University, a not-for-profit institution, has received recognition vide Government of Rajasthan Ordinance No. 4 of 2009 dated 14th October 2009 and subsequently NIIT University has been enacted vide Act No. 5 of 2010 of the Government of Rajasthan, dated 3 April 2010. The University was formally inaugurated with much fanfare in the midst of eminent personalities from the industry and academia on 15th of November, 2009.
A powerful vision driven by passion, immaculate planning and execution is resulting in the creation of NIIT University with an objective to create the leading centre of innovation and learning in emerging areas of the Knowledge Society.
With the completion of first Academic block and the students’ hostel, the University infrastructure is now completely ready to offer BTech Programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Technology and Biotechnology; MTech Programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Bioinformatics and Educational Technology. NIIT University offers Ph.D. programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Educational Technology and Biotechnology.
Apart from the technology streams, NIIT University would be offering Management Programs with specializations in Marketing, Finance, Information Systems and Human Resources Management, effective academic year 2010. In the years to come, many new courses in the emerging academic areas will be offered with an aim to help students build great careers across the breadth of the Knowledge Society. 24×7 learning, vibrant social life and recreational activities form the heart of Campus Life at NIIT University.
