As peer group members of NU, Founding Professors will lead in the following manner:
- Lead institutional development and innovation in education
- Inspire students and teachers as well as support staff to be pro-active, life-long learners and facilitators
- Inspire a love for subject/ discipline amongst all concerned, particularly amongst the students.
- Offer a historical perspective and a vision of the future, for their subject/ discipline.
- Inculcate a love for and adherence to professional ethics.
- Encourage participation of the students and community in finer values of life e.g. music, drama, painting, sports, literary activities, recitations in various languages, debates, newsletters etc.
- Deliver lectures under the ‘Founding Professor’s Lecture Series’ of NU.
- Build University relations with the outside world
