Dr. Deepak Khanna has over 25 years of Academic and corporate experience in the field of Management and Marketing. Before joining NIIT University, he was working as the Dean (Faculty of Management) in Jagannath University, Jaipur.Prior to that he was Faculty at ICFAI Business School (IBS), Gurgaon. He has also worked as ‘Associate Dean’ at IBS Jaipur for four years. He was associated with Magnus School of Business, Jaipur as its Center Head in 2003–2005. Earlier he has worked as a Visiting Faculty for over six years at various educational institutions.
Dr. Deepak Khanna began his career in the well known Industrial House of Greaves and after many years shifted to Batliboi Limited in the area of Industrial Marketing before shifting to academics.
An Engineering Graduate(B.Tech.) from IIT Kanpur in 1978, Dr. Khanna did his Post Graduation in Business Administration with specialization in marketing in 1998 from Poddar Institute of Management and Ph.D (in Body Language) from University of Rajasthan in 2002.
For the last couple of years he has been teaching Business Strategy, Quantitative Techniques, Marketing Communications Strategy, Sales and Distribution Management, Public Relations, Operations Management and Statistics.
Dr. Khanna has deep interest in Research, Consultancy and Advisory services. He presented number of research papers in national and international conferences winning the ‘Best Research Award’ thrice. He has attended number of training programmes at various institutions and has conducted several Corporate Training Workshops in ‘Time Management’ ‘Change by Design’ and ‘Negotiation Skills’ besides his favourite “Body Language for Managers”.
He has an ability to visualize and implement his creative ideas on projects with detailed intricacies involved therein. The students are well guided through his professional expertise and teaching experiences. He believes in the overall development of the students be it the academic or the extra-curricular activities. Through his experimental ways of teaching, he is always eager to make his students capable to take challenges.
He has the membership of the Professional Bodies like Strategic Management Society (US), National HRD Network and Indian Institute of Foundrymen.
Dr. Khanna is a personality of varied colours and a vision to make the lives of society at large more meaningful and successful.
