Dr. Amitabha Ghoshray, a Professor in Physics Department in NU, where he teaches physics. He obtained Ph. D. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Calcutta, Calcutta. As a post doc fellow he joined as Research Associate in Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata. Before joining NU, he served Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata for 28 years as a faculty member. He acted as Head, ECMP division for more than 2 years. He has published around 65 research papers in International peer reviewed journal and also presented several research papers in National and International Conferences. He has guided 6 Ph. D students, 7 Post M.Sc students and supervised 10 summer projects. He Acted as member of the organising committee of various national conferences and as International advisory committe member for International Conferences of Magnetic Materials (ICM- 2012, Busan, South Korea).
