Tremendous developments in technologies such as wireless communications and networking, mobile computing and handheld devices, embedded systems, wearable computers, sensors, RFID tags, smart spaces, middleware, software agents, etc. have led to the evolution of mobile, wireless and pervasive systems. The goal of these systems is to create ambient intelligence where network devices embedded in the environment provide unobtrusive connectivity and services all the time, thus improving human experience and quality of life without explicit awareness of the underlying communications and computing technologies.
The objective of the two day workshop on Mobile, Wireless & Pervasive Systems is to delve deep into the current research in this important and current space and to brainstorm with the experts on the emerging trends in the area. The workshop will serve as a spring–board for future collaborations for both academia and industry and will have a potential to spawn new areas of research.
The two day workshop is supported by the Indian National Academy of Engineering and will be held at the beautiful and picturesque campus of NIIT University. The workshop features invited talks and panel discussions on Wireless, Mobile and Pervasive Systems. A banquet is planned at the end of Day 1.
