J P S Kohli
JPS Kohli manages the Microsoft Learning group in Microsoft’s India Development Center at Hyderabad.
He has 13 years of experience in management, innovative technology development, learning content development, software services and B2B solutions. Before joining Microsoft in 2006, JPS was President – Professional Services with Multiple Zones (MZI), an IT outsourcing and IT products marketing company in India. During his 7 years at MZI, JPS shaped MZI’s B2B strategy, built from scratch a services business for the company, founded an SME Marketplace in a Joint Venture with Punjab state government, built India’s largest B2B Webstore for IT products in 1999-2000 and deployed India/US based Sales infrastructure to fuel services business growth.
Earlier in his career, JPS set up a rich-media and eLearning business for Virtual Software & Training Ltd. (VST) as a Vice President. His foundation years in learning industry and web development were spent at NIIT’s Knowledge Solutions Business (KSB) and later at Compunnel Software India where he went through the grind of honing and sharpening his skills in Instructional Design, eLearning content development, Web portal development, Project Management and People Management. From delivering software and learning services to developing learning products, JPS has a good blend of Services and Products businesses.
He is passionate about improving the learning experience for a learner in today’s connected world through use of technology.
JPS is a B.Tech. – Industrial Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar.
