MTech Selection Criteria
I Eligibility
MTech Program in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) and ICT (Information & Communication Technology)
- Minimum 60% marks in High School (10th) exam
- Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any Board in India or its equivalent from any other country
- 3. Minimum 60 % marks or a CGPA of 6.67 on a scale of 10 or its equivalent in
4-year BE/ B Tech/ BS in any engineering streamOr
MCA
Or
Masters in CSE/Electronics/IT/Mathemetics/Physics
from any recognized University in India or abroad
MTech Program in ET (Educational Technology)
- Minimum 60% marks in High School (10th) exam
- Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 exam from any Board in India or its equivalent from any other country
- Minimum 60% marks in both,a 3-year Bachelors degree followed by BEdOrA 4-year degree
Or
A Masters degree
Or
A 3-year Bachelors degree from any recognized University in India or abroad
followed by two years of relevant experience

M Tech Program in BI (Bioinformatics)
- Minimum 60% marks in High School (10th) exam
- Minimum 60 % marks in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology from any Board in India or its equivalent from any other country
- Minimum 60 % marks or a CGPA of 6.67 on a scale of 10 or its equivalent in 4-year BE/ B Tech/ BS in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics/CS/CSE/ ITOrM. Sc/MS in BT/Bioinformatics/CS/CSE/IT from any recognized University in India or abroad
II.Admission to M Tech Programs :
Admission to the M Tech programs would be offered based on the following:
A merit list will be prepared on the following considerations:

- 5 % weightage to the marks obtained in the High School (10th) examination
- 10% weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examination
- 15% weightage to the marks obtained in Graduation
- 5% weightage to the Experience. On a scale of 0-5 for 24 months
- 4% weightage to the Experience on a scale of 0-5 for 24 months
- 33% weightage to the marks obtained in the Online test conducted by NIIT University
- 33% weightage to the performance in the on-line/face to face interview
Online Test : The details of the on-line test are as follows :

All the candidates in the above merit list would be invited for an Interview. Interview would carry 33% weightage. After including the performance in the Interview, merit list for admission will be posted on the website of the University (www.niituniversity.in). Second Merit List will be announced subject to the availability of vacancy of seats.
In case of tie, the marks of Online Test, Graduation, 10+2 and 10th examination will be considered in that order to break the tie. If still the tie remains, then all candidates in the tie will be offered admission.
