MBA Program gets Industry Support
The recently-launched MBA program from NIIT University has received overwhelming support from captains of industry on two fronts – mentorship and placement. While this is obviously great news for the students of the founding batch, it is even better news for industry as a whole.
Mentorship ProgramTM
Every HR executive is aware of the gap that exists between academic institutions and the corporate world. Recruiters are also aware that fresh MBA graduates often face a sense of disorientation at work that renders them unproductive in the crucial initial days of joining an organisation. To bridge this gap, a unique initiative, conceptualised by NU, has brought together about 20 CEOs from some of the most reputed companies in the country to provide experiential inputs, macro-level insights and networking opportunities to MBA students. Every MBA student is assigned a mentor from industry who guides him during the program through interactive sessions. Names like Manoj Kohli (Airtel), Raghupati Singhania (JK Industries), and Bhaskar Pramanik (Former MD, Oracle India) are a few who have agreed to mentor the NU MBA students through structured personalised interactions. The Mentorship ProgramTM is supplemented by the concept of an Industry Coach, a senior corporate executive, who will be freely accessible to the students for advice and guidance on day-to-day issues.

Placement
The priority for any MBA program has to be successful and meaningful careers for its students. The NU MBA program has been warmly received by industry, and a group of reputed companies have already committed placement to all students of the first batch (subject to satisfactory completion of the program with good conduct).
